Behavior of mortars with different types of cement when induced to Delayed Ettringite Formation (DEF)

چکیده
The purpose of this paper is to present an evaluation different types cement and the incidence Delayed Ettringite Formation (DEF) through mortar composites cast in laboratory exposed a high curing temperature over 12-month study period. DEF represents one Internal Sulfate Attacks (ISA) related expansive chemical reaction that occurs inside concrete involving sulfates from cement. Experiments involved assessment expansions, compressive tensile strengths as well microstructural characteristics time. It was observed tests performed on mortars with specific mix required extended period distinguish behaviors. Furthermore, early-strength featured worst binder when faced DEF.
